John’s Microsoft background includes Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Microsoft 365 migrations, Active Directory administration, Group Policy, Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access management, Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention policies, Windows Server environments, and PowerShell administration and scripting.
Cloud and Virtualization
John has worked with AWS Amazon EC2, EBS, and WorkSpaces administration, VMware vSphere administration, local and SAN storage, virtualization platforms, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Director, Citrix Studio, and business environments that depend on reliable access, performance, and recoverability.
Security and Email Protection
John’s security-related work includes FortiGate administration and hardening, site-to-site VPN, client VPN, UTM, security profiles, Duo multi-factor authentication, Sophos implementation and administration, Mimecast administration, Targeted Threat Protection, policy management, authentication profiles, and email authentication using DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
